Good Afternoon Everyone,
I know, I have asked this question before, in different ways, and usually to highlight a contamination issue somewhere in this the greatest country on God’s green earth. But, it wasn’t God who contaminated so much of our drinking water.
I ask the question if you are sure about your water, because it is a question we don’t ask ourselves often enough.
Unfortunately there are, from time to time and in different places, contamination incidents (some catastrophic), to remind us. It is difficult to be sure of the safety and cleanliness of our drinking water.
Today, I point to California and the San Diego County area.
NBC 7 in San Diego is just one news outlet that reported on the following contamination situation that is still ongoing for many.
This was reported on March 7, 2017.
They report that hundreds of thousands of Californians live without clean, safe drinking water.
Approximately 3,000 of those live in the San Diego County area.
Some even say that “third world conditions exist right here in the U.S.”
Most of us take for granted clean, safe water. But, as we are learning, it’s a resource that many just don’t have.
New studies in San Diego have found high levels of uranium, arsenic, nitrates and lead making water unsafe.
Some areas in the county show levels of uranium five times the safe limit resulting in nausea, vomiting, liver and kidney damage, and in the long term, cancer.
Some 700,000 Californians are exposed to contaminated water at home or school according to a report from the California Water Resources Board.
Bathing in uranium contaminated water is not a health hazard, but drinking it is. It makes for an uneasy situation for residents, to say the least.
In 2012, Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation making California the first state in the nation to legally recognize the human right to clean drinking water, but for many it is not happening.
Filtering your drinking water will definitely help. And I can help you there. Just sign up for my FREE mini course and learn more. You will receive a short lesson every day or two for about two weeks. It will help.
